What are the health benefits of Sardines - tinned in brine?

Tinned sardines are a store cupboard powerhouse of micronutrients including; phosphorus, calcium, iron, selenium, iodine, niacin (B3), vitamin D, vitamin E and loads of vitamin B12

Sardines are always so tightly packed into the tins, that it has led to the saying ‘packed in like sardines’ when there are a large number of people packed into a tight space.

Use as much of the can contents as possible (including the bones) to maximise the micronutrient content
