What are the health benefits of Porridge and oat bran with nuts?

A real powerhouse breakfast that will keep the antioxidants flowing. Using a mix of oat bran and porridge oats gives this breakfast a great oaty texture while adding the extra goodness of the bran. According to the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center oats are technically gluten-free since they aren't a type of wheat, barley or rye grain.

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Put the oat bran and porridge oats into a saucepan with the milk.
2) Bring to the boil and then turn down to a simmer and cook for 3 - 4 minutes until thickened.
3) Serve immediately with the honey and nuts stirred in.

* Add more milk depending on the consistency required.
