What are the health benefits of Tomatoes?

Tomatoes are a good source of vitamin C along with the phytochemical known as lycopene which may protect you from some forms of cancer

Tomatoes are the fruit of the vine, just as are cucumbers, squashes, beans and peas, and not vegetables!  

Cooking tips

Cooking these increases their lycopene content and availability to us.

One study found that the quercetin content in organic tomatoes was 80% higher than normally grown tomatoes.
