What are the health benefits of Derby cheese dip?

This simple dip will give you energy and look after your bones and muscles. If you can't find Derby cheese you can substitute cheddar. It's also great for pouring over chips!

1 can /375ml condensed milk nutritional information
1 can /375ml condensed milk
225g Derby cheese nutritional information
225g Derby cheese
½ tsp garlic powder nutritional information
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder nutritional information
½ tsp onion powder
1tbsp chilli sauce nutritional information
1tbsp chilli sauce
Salt to taste nutritional information
Salt to taste
1tbsp corn flour (corn starch) nutritional information
1tbsp corn flour (corn starch)

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Crumble the cheese in to a saucepan, add the cornflour and toss gently.
2) Add all of the remaining ingredients and cook over a medium heat, whisking continually until the cheese has melted.
3) Season to taste with salt and extra hot sauce.
4) You will be able to pour it while it is hot but once it cools it will have a dipping consistency.
5) If you want it thinner and more pourable, add more condensed milk.

* Try using sage Derby or one of the other flavour Derby cheeses available for a unique taste.
