400g squid, cleaned and cut into strips nutritional information

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Heat the oil in a wok or saucepan until its approximately 180C. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can test it by dropping in a cube of bread, it should take about 20 seconds to brown.
2) In a bowl mix the flours with the crushed peppers and 2 tsp sea salt.
3) Coat the squid with the flour mix and fry for about 2 mins each or until crisp. You may need to do this in batches.
4) Drain on kitchen paper.
5) Serve with the remaining salt, chillies and spring onion scattered over.
