What are the health benefits of Jugged kippers?

Jugged kippers may help reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s, other forms of dementia, heart disease and stroke. This is a traditional way to prepare kippers and will be a lot less smelly than grilling or microwaving them.

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Remove the heads.
2) Fold the kippers in half and pack vertically in a tall warmed jug.
3) Pour in enough boiling water to cover the kippers and cover with a plate.
4) Leave to stand for 6 minutes in a warm place.
5) Drain and dry with a tea towel.
6) Serve on hot plates with a knob of butter and a salad of your choice or a chunk of toasted bread and butter.
