What are the health benefits of Simply cook cauliflower rice?

A British classic that is good for your blood, bones and immune system. Cauliflower also contains a chemical called sulforaphane which may have anticancer properties. Served with a curry this is a great alternative to rice. You can add herbs or curry powder at the cooking stage to add a different flavour to your rice.

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

Microwave

1) Whizz the cauliflower up in a blender until fairly fine or chop finely.
2) Put the cauliflower into a bowl with a tablespoon of water and a pinch of salt, stir well. 
3) Cook for 5 minutes on full heat or until cooked to your liking.

Steam

1) Whizz the cauliflower up in a blender until fairly fine or chop finely.
2) Put the cauliflower into a sieve that will fit neatly into one of your saucepans.
3) Pour a little water into the saucepan, put the sieve in and a lid on. 
4) Bring the water to a simmer and steam for about 10 minutes or until cooked to your liking.
5) Season to taste.
