This simple side is packed with vitamin K for your blood, bones, arteries and cells. Try adding some finely chopped onions and a little garlic powder for a sweeter flavour.

4 rashers of streaky bacon, cut into thin trips nutritional information

1 tbsp olive oil nutritional information

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Peel of the leaves of the cabbage and destalk them by running a sharp knife along the edges of the hard white stalks to remove them.
2) Roll the remaining leaves up into tube and thinly slice.
3) Bring a big pan of water up to the boil and blanch the cabbage for 2 minutes, then drain.
4) Heat the oil the in a large frying pan and fry the bacon until cooked.
5) Add the cabbage and stir fry for 2 – 4 minutes depending on how you like it cooked.
6) Serve immediately.
