A great Italian base sauce for pasta for your bone, artery and immune system health. Keep it as is for a 'marinara', add chilli for an 'arrabiata', add bacon & chilli for an 'Amatriciana', add olives, anchovies and red wine for a 'puttansesca'.

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Chop the garlic and lightly fry in the olive oil until golden.
2) Put in the whole tin of tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
3) Put in the chopped spinach and simmer for a further 15 minutes.
4) Add in whatever additional flavouring you want and serve over pasta.
