Enough olive oil to fill half a side plate, approx 4 tbsp
Enough balsamic vinegar to fill half a side plate, approx 4 tbsp
Half a loaf of white farmhouse bread, torn into big chunks
1) Pour equal parts olive oil and balsamic vinegar onto separate halves of the plate. They will mix a little. 2) Serve with big chunks of bread. 3) If you're using extra virgin olive oil it might be an idea to warm the oil a little first as it’s very thick and warming it will thin it out a little. 4) Keep topping up as needed
Some people prefer to put the balsamic vinegar in the middle of the oil, as in the picture, but I find that this covers the vinegar with the oil and makes it difficult to get at the balsamic.
