Red Leicester cheese is good for your bones, cell division and digestion. It was originally known as “Leicestershire Cheese”, named after the county it was made in. It can be traced back to the 17th century! It has a slightly sweet mellow flavour and is a good alternative to cheddar if you want to add a bit more colour to your dish.
