What are the health benefits of Simply cook cauliflower roasted ?

A British classic that is good for your blood, bones and immune system. Cauliflower also contains a chemical called sulforaphane which may have anticancer properties. Roasting cauliflower gives it a lovey nutty flavour. You can also make roasted cauliflower rice. Just blitz or finely chop the cauliflower then follow the instructions for florets.

1kg/1 large cauliflower nutritional information
1kg/1 large cauliflower
salt and pepper to taste nutritional information

Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

Whole

1) Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2) Trim the leaves of the cauliflower, if necessary, so the top of the white part is exposed and level the base so it sits flat.
3) Drizzle with the olive oil. Rub it in a bit. Season to taste.
4) Roast for 30 - 45 minutes or  until it is well-browned on the outside and a skewer pokes into it very very easily.
5) Cut into wedges or slices to serve.

Florets

1) Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2) Break the cauliflower into florets
3) Drizzle with the olive oil and season to taste.
4) Roast for 20 - 30 until cooked to your liking.
5) Give it a stir half way through.
