Method

Simply follow our simply laid out recipe:

1) Skin the tomatoes by immersing them in a pan of boiling water.
2) Chop tomatoes, cut ham into strips and shred basil leaves.
3) Cook pasta in a large pan of lightly salted boiling water for 10-12 minutes until just tender.
4) Meanwhile heat the oil in a saucepan, add the tomatoes and tomato purée and sauté for 5 minutes. Season to taste
5) Drain the pasta and toss in butter.
6) Add to the tomato sauce with the ham and mix well.
7) Serve topped with the basil leaves.
