Are you feeding your ‘Health Pension’?

We’re all encouraged to have a monetary pension so we’ll
have some money to enjoy our retirement.
What would you do in your retirement? I know I’d travel,
read more, relax more, spend more time with my friends who’d also be retired by
then, take crazy courses and loads more stuff.
But, here’s that but again, what if you’re ill? What if you don’t live long
enough to reap the rewards of the pension you’re paying into or you’re
chronically ill?
Don’t be one of those people who leave it until they’ve got
a chronic disease to start thinking about your nutrition!
You need to start NOW! And do what you can to prevent
yourself from being one of the 80% yes 80% of you that will get one or more
chronic diseases when you’re older.
Did you know that the World Health Organisation (WHO) states that "chronic disease is responsible for 70% of all deaths worldwide"?
And that the chronic diseases listed below "are preventable with proper
nutrition"?
- Obesity
- Diabetes
- Cardiovascular disease
- Several forms of cancer
- Osteoporosis
- Dental disease
Well, that’s a no brainer. You pay into your ‘Health
Pension’, what that means is you start taking care of what you eat NOW to
protect your health in the FUTURE.
“People who get their vitamins and minerals through food are boosting their
immunity and healthy development.” - WHO
But there’s good news. It doesn’t matter who you are it’s never too late to
start looking after your health through proper nutrition!
OK, so let’s look at that last one: “Even if you think you are already eating a
healthy diet”. Unless you keep a food diary you’ll be surprised at how many
vital nutrients you’re not getting enough of.
I know because that's what happened to me. I used to scoff at people telling me
I should eat better, thinking I knew it all, until I started keeping a food
diary and saw how many nutrients I was dangerously low on.
This is my food diary report from January I can reassure you it's much better now, but look how much was below 50% of my RDA (recommended daily amount)
