165ml whole milk
1 tbsp flour
300g/2 large onions, peled and sliced
Salt and black pepper to taste
1) Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the onions gently for 10 minutes. 2) Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, 3) Gradually stir in the milk and bring the sauce to the boil. 4) Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5) Season to taste and serve immediately.
