If you could eat only one vegetable then broccoli should be your choice!
A 60g portion (less than 1/2 cup) will give you:
Protection for your heart, blood, brain, immune system, eyesight and cells, due to the high amounts of vitamin K, vitamin C and phytochemicals.
Broccoli is also credited with a good amount of lipoic acid which reduces the effects of ageing (see link below).
Broccoli also has a chemical called sulforaphane which has anticancer properties
